Guidelines for short notice and out-of-hours bookings
- Any short-notice room requests for out-of-hours activities will not be confirmed until Timetabling and Room Bookings have consulted with the porters regarding cover.
- Out-of-hours on weekdays is any time after 1800.
- Porters' overtime charges may apply (where the building is not open as standard during the evening or at weekends) for non-teaching activities. The following buildings are open as standard Mon - Thurs for evening activities:
- Parkinson
- Business School
- Baines Wing
- Clothworkers South
- Please check with Timetabling and Room Bookings team for weekend bookings.
- Bookings cannot usually be taken for rooms which are not covered by porters. If you wish to use a room in a building not covered by the portering service, please check with Timetabling and Room Bookings (x34009) for advice.
- Porters' charges may apply for rooms that are not open as standard during the evening or at weekends..
- Web room bookings cannot be made within 1 working day of the required time. Short-notice bookings should be requested by phone, on ext. 34009. Wherever possible, please try to give two week's notice for out-of-hours room requests .
- Furniture is re-arranged at users' own risk and must be put back to the standard configuration at the end of the session.
