HOW TO GET THERE

Instructions for arriving to Rieti.

uBy car

From the north

Take the A1 Firenze-Roma motorway, exit at Orte junction, continue on the Orte-Terni ring road, then take the direction of Rieti, following the SS 675 or SS79.

From the South

Take the A1 Napoli-Roma motorway, exit at San Cesareo junction and follow the indications to Firenze. Exit at Fiano Romano junction and continue on the SS4 Salaria heading to Rieti.

From the East

Take the A24 Roma-L'Aquila-Teramo motorway. Shortly after Tivoli take the A1 motorway towards Firenze; take the Fiano Romano junction. Continue on the SS4 Salaria in the direction of Rieti.

From Rome

From the Grande Raccordo Annulare (Ring Road) take the A1 Firenze-Roma motorway (junction #10), exit at Fiano Romano (before the Roma-Nord toll booth) and continue on the SS4 Salaria in the direction of Rieti.

uBy Bus

The COTRAL coach line runs from Rome Tiburtina Station to Rieti. The terminal in Rieti is Train Station, which is in the town centre. See map.

Duration: 1h and 40 minutes.

Tickets can be bought at the stations. TICKETS CANNOT BE BOUGHT ON BOARD. The coach service leaves from various stations in Rome, departure from Tiburtina Station. Click here for timetable.

At certain times, from Rome Tiburtina Station there is a train service that takes you to the Fara Sabina station from where there is a coach connection to Rieti with the COTRAL line.

uBy Train from Terni or L’Aquila

Rieti can be reached from Terni or from L’Aquila by train taking the Terni-Rieti-L'Aquila-Sulmona line.

u By Plane

The airports of Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci and of Rome Ciampino are the closest to Rieti.

It is possible to land in Pescara airport as well; however, there are few train connections and coach connections, it is then necessary and preferable to hire a car at Pescara Centrale Train Station.

ñFrom ROME FIUMICINO AIRPORT

By car.

Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci airport is only 32 km away from the centre of Rome and iti s easily reacheable by car through the Rome-Fiumicino motorway.

By train.

From Rome Fiumicino one must reach Rome Tiburtina Station to connect with the COTRAL coach service (see above). Here it is the timetable of trains from Fiumicino Station.

ñFrom Rome CIAMPINO AIRPORT

By car.

Rome Ciampino airport is located on the Via Appia Nuova, 15 km from the centre of Rome.

It is a short distance from the Rome city ring road (GRA) and from the main road system of the NORTH-SOUTH and EAST-WEST motorways.

By coach.

From Rome Ciampino airport there are coaches to Roma centre, Temini Station (from whence one continues to the Tiburtina Station, here the coach service to Rieti departs), which connects the Ryanair and Easy-Jet flights. There is also an additional night line by COTRAL/Schiaffini.

Termini Station «-» Ciampino airport

Go to the Terravision stop at Termini Station (Via Marsala) - the coach will arrive about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
If you need a ticket purchase it from the Royal Santina Hotel or the Hotel Stromboli, both on Via Marsala.
If you already have a ticket, present it to the Terravision rep (or the driver if there is no rep). Your luggage will be loaded onto the coach.
Climb aboard and select your seat. The coach will leave on time.

Terravision advises all passengers to be at the stop at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The coach will not wait for you if you are late!

Ciampino airport «-» Termini Station

Go to the Terravision desk in the arrivals hall of the airport. Our reps will tell you where your coach is waiting for you.

2. If you need a ticket purchase it from the Terravision desk in the airport arrivals hall.

3. If you already have a ticket, present it to the Terravision rep (or the driver if there is no rep).

Climb aboard and select your seat. The coach will leave once all passengers have arrived.
