Cycle Skills Training
Cycle training is available for staff and students from National Standards Accredited cycle instructors who can help you with everything from learning how to ride a bike, signalling, starting and stopping properly to cycling on busy city roads.
Cycle training takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays outside the Roger Stevens Lecture theatre, University of Leeds, advancing to training on the roads near the university as appropriate.
We offer four packages:

| Beginner | A starter class for those who have never ridden before or not since they were young. | 2x1 hour sessions with two instructors | £10.00 |
| National Standard Level 1 | Covers the essentials of cycling, how to control and master your bike and cycle safely, in a traffic free environment | 2x1 hour sessions sometime trainees. | £10.00 |
| National Standard Level 2 | On the road training that will help you to cycle safely so that you can deal with traffic on short journeys | 2x1 hour (or 1x2 hour) sessions sometime trainees | £10.00 |
| National Standard Level 3 | Covers cycling in various traffic environments. On completion of level 3 you will be able to deal with all types of road conditions and more challenging traffic situations | 1x2 hour session 1:1 | £10.00 |
Knowing the rules of the road and knowing how to cycle appropriately on the roads not only makes you a more confident cyclist but will make you a safer cyclist.
