2017 Academic Integrity

What is Academic Integrity?

All students who are new to the University (Undergraduate and Taught Postgrad) are required to complete an Academic Integrity Test.

Academic Integrity at Leeds focuses on making sure you present other people's ideas accurately and honestly. The test is preceded by an online tutorial designed to show you how to avoid plagiarism and instil good practice for your time here at Leeds. All students new to Leeds in the 2017/18 academic year should complete the tutorial and pass the test.

There are no limits on the number of attempts. Review the tutorial and try again until you pass.

In Freshers week 2017, the tutorial and test will be made available in a Minerva organisation called 17/18 Academic Integrity, only available to students who are new to the University this year. If you know this is your first year at Leeds and you can't see the organisation, contact the IT Service Desk.

How to access the tutorial and test

  1. Log in to Minerva:
  2. In Minerva, go to the Learn tab.

The tutorial will take you about an hour to complete. Once you have done this, you can take the test. The test has 15 multiple choice questions.

You can take the test as many times as you need, and you can see your results by following the Check my result link. When you have passed the test, you'll be notified in the test content area:
