Undergraduate fees and funding Find out what to pay, when to pay it and what support is available
As a full-time UK undergraduate student starting a course in September 2010, you will pay tuition fees of £3,290 per year. This amount increases each year you're here in-line with inflation and subject to government regulations.
At Leeds we put the fees back into building and improving a wide range of student facilities, such as refurbished labs, a new theatre and performing arts space, computer clusters and sports facilities. We also use the fees to provide scholarships and bursaries to our students.
If it's your first degree you can apply for a loan to cover your fees, and you won't have to pay anything until after you have left university and are earning over £15,000 a year.
There is a wide range of funding available to help you through your course. Many students get support through our Leeds Bursary and some are entitled to one of our scholarships. You can also apply for a student maintenance loan to help pay the bills while at university.
See our grants and loans pages for more information.
Leeds is a great city in which to be a student because of the low cost of living. The student living survey by The Royal Bank of Scotland in 2007 found that Leeds offers the best value for students in the UK. Projected living costs in Leeds are available from the student union
If you live elsewhere in the UK the student support is different, so take a look at our Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales page for more detail
