The Institute for Medieval Studies (IMS)

The IMS is one of the major centres for interdisciplinary study in Medieval Studies in the UK.  Teaching and PhD supervision draws from a community of scholars whose range spans Europe, from Iceland to Africa and the Middle East, and from Late Antiquity to the Renaissance.

The Institute is home to the International Medieval Congress (IMC), Europe's largest annual gathering of medievalists, and the International Medieval Bibliography (IMB), the world's leading interdisciplinary bibliography of the Middle Ages.
