Professor Smith, a visiting scholar in AIMES, wins the prestigious award.

It is a great pleasure to break the excellent news about our colleague Professor Rex Smith, who has just been awarded King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Prize in Islamic History. The website of the prize organisation has posted a short profile of Rex’s career, highlighting his unique scholarship in Islamic History and his many publications in the area, as well as the many PhD students he supervised in areas related to Islamic History.
