Megan recently spoke to the local German media about her time in Germany.
Congratulations to German student, Megan. Here's what she had to say:
Hi, Im Megan Beech and I am currently on my year abroad, working in a Berufskolleg in a small town in Germany called Bünde. Two weeks ago, I was approached by my mentor teacher and asked if I would like to take part in an interview with my landlords about my time in Germany so far and about their experience of renting their flat out to Fremdsprachenassistenten. Naturally, I said yes and so the headmistress of the school set up a small advent-themed interview in her office (with Christmas biscuits and tea and coffee) with two reporters from the two different newspapers in my area: one from the local newspaper and one from the newspaper which involves surrounding small towns. During this informal interview, I was asked about my time as a language assistant and how I have adapted to the German way of life. These pictures are the two different articles and I feel unbelievably proud to have been given the opportunity to have my experiences published in the local newspapers. It has been the talk of the town!
