Summary: Phonetics, phonology and interactional linguistics; phonetic reduction; prosodic marking; tempo production and perception
OverviewI came to Leeds in 2007, after doing an MA and PhD at the University of York, and working as a Research Assistant at the University of Sheffield. I first became interested in linguistics and phonetics while doing my first degree, an MA in English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Leiden. I have been an Associate Professor since 2012, and was Director of Linguistics and Phonetics between 2015 and 2018. I am currently on research leave.
