The Leeds Institute of Textiles and Colour in association with VeriVide are pleased to present the Life of Colour Seminar Series.

Designing a mood board is a creative tool that designers often employ at the start of a new (interior) design project. Mood boards help arrange various elements, materials, textures, styles and colours into a representative format. In particular, the colours of a mood board represent important information about the envisioned interior designs.

In this talk, Arjan Gijsenij from AkzoNobel will focus on automatically extracting key colours from a design perspective from digital images such as mood boards, highlighting some of the existing methods and its properties, discussing some of the potential applications of these digital design tools and show how they are used at AkzoNobel.
