Quirky, bold and colourful – discover the diverse textile designs of Guido Marchini.
Explore the exuberant designs of Guido Marchini (1929–2008). From vivid stylised florals, quirky animal repeats and jazzy free forms these designs are a sight to behold.
Born in Ostiglia in Lombardy, Italy, Guido Marchini came to London in the early 1960s. He designed printed furnishing fabrics for companies such as Tibor Ltd and the Edinburgh Weavers.
Created in the pre-digital age, Marchini embraced a range of media and techniques, although predominantly gouache on paper.
On display for the first time ever, you can now enjoy a selection of pieces from the large collection of his works.
