The Leeds Institute of Textiles and Colour (LITAC) are pleased to present the first lecture in their bi-monthly series Tex Talks.

This first lecture will be given by Professor Karen De Clerck (Centre for Textile Science and Engineering CTSE, Ghent University) who will introduce the technique of electrospinning and the many different interesting applications of the nanofibrous materials that are produced.

Professor De Clerck will highlight the work that has been undertaken at CTSE around electrospinning that dates back fifteen years and has produced colour changing materials for sensor applications.

This lecture will also explore the use of nanofibrous materials for diverse applications such as drug delivery, solvent separation, catalysis and composite toughening.
