Inspiring Innovation seminar series
The Research and Innovation Service (RIS) and Leeds Institute of Fluid Dynamics (LIFD) are delighted to invite you to the next two talks in our Inspiring Innovation seminar series. This series showcases real-life examples of the innovation journeys taken by other researchers or external speakers.
This provides valuable insights into the steps taken to move a new idea or discovery arising from basic research through to implementation in a real-world setting for economic and/or societal benefit. It also gives you the opportunity to meet and network with a range of innovation active researchers and external speakers.
Each talk will last 15 minutes followed by 15 minutes for Q&A.
Talks
- Professor Doug Parker (School of Earth and Environment): “FASTA: Seeking sustainability for African rainfall information services through private sector funding”
- Professor Janet Cade (School of Food Science and Nutrition): "Spinning out – myfood24 from research to health tech company"
We are also planning sessions in May and June with other speakers (12pm for seminars, 1pm for networking and lunch).
Recordings from previous seminars can be found on the RIS Inspiring Innovation seminar page.
