Join us for this special reception to celebrate the opening of ‘Becoming the Brontës’.

The Brontës are Yorkshire’s very own world-famous literary family. But how did they become the icons we know today?

Book your ticket for this drinks reception and exhibition preview to experience the excitement as we open ‘Becoming the Brontës’ – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see literary treasures from the Blavatnik Honresfield Library together on public display.

The exhibition explores the creative beginnings of Charlotte, Emily, Anne and Branwell Brontë – from little books produced as children to poetry manuscripts and rare first editions of their most celebrated works.

The intimate display in the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery has been co-curated by the University of Leeds, the British Library and the Brontë Parsonage Museum.

‘Becoming the Brontës’ is on display in the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery from Friday 30 June to Saturday 28 October. Open Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–5pm. Free to visit, and open to everyone.
