A talk hosted by the Yorkshire Local Centre of the Royal Meteorological Society. The talk will be given by our secretary John Goulding and BBC presenter Keeley Donovan will judge the photo competition

Refreshments, including mulled wine and mince pies will be available from 6pm, for social time and viewing of this year’s photograph entries which will be on display to enable votes to be cast for our selections.

Photo competition rules and guidelines can be found online.

The talk will commence about 7pm with Clive Mills-Hicks giving a brief overview of the synoptic situation and short-term prospects.

Our Secretary, John Goulding, will then present what has become a traditional end-of-year look back at the vagaries of the weather of the past 12 months.

As usual, this personal selection will contain not only the more well-remembered events but also some of the more quirky news items that will encourage audience participation.

After the talk Keeley, Donovan will judge the photo competition and the evening will be concluded with the announcement of the results and prizes awarded.

We hope you are able to attend. Please contact yorkshire@rmets.org for more information.
