This exhibition examines the potential for archival collections to inspire fresh creativity at the meeting points of fashion, art and science.

Life on the Outskirts: Contemporary Practice inspired by the Helen Storey Foundation archive brings together work by art and design students and graduates from the University of Leeds and Manchester Metropolitan University. Their contemporary responses, inspired by the Helen Storey Foundation Archive, are displayed alongside images from the archive, a film by David Betteridge exploring the archive from its creators’ perspectives, and Helen Storey’s ‘Dress for Our Time’ (2015).

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Please join us for an evening event on Thursday 19 July from 4.30 to 6.00pm.
