The Women in Economics (WiE) research community are thrilled to welcome special guest speaker Rachel Reeves, MP for Leeds West and Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Rachel will discuss her insights and experience of being a woman at the height of economic policy-making, the progress of women in Westminster more broadly, and some of the challenges of inclusion and inequalities in Economics in the current context. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with Rachel.

We welcome everyone of all genders, and this session is open to members of the public as well as researchers in Economics and economics-related fields.

WiE is a research-focussed community championing issues of female representation in Economics – both in the profession and the analytical field itself. We are based at the University of Leeds but are now open to other universities and organisations active in economics and policy research.
