“Same Moon in the Same World” is a collaborative project co-led by guitarist Ant Law and tenor saxophonist Alex Hitchcock.
Musical direction is split between them and both contribute compositions to this programme.
- Ant Law (guitar and compositions)
- Alex Hitchcock (tenor saxophone and compositions)
- Ivo Neame (piano)
- Ferg Ireland (bass)
- Ernesto Simpson (drums)
British guitarist Ant is “a game changer” and “an innovator” according to The Guardian. He lives in London and leads his own quintet. His 4th album ‘The Sleeper Wakes’ (Edition Records) was released in 2020. He uses the unique Perfect 4ths tuning system and is in high demand as a sideman. Alongside his own projects he can be heard most frequently with Trio HLK and with Tim Garland.
Alex Hitchcock is one of the most prolific young artists in London and a ferocious virtuoso on tenor saxophone. Walter Smith III described him as “An incredible saxophonist”.
Ant and Alex are joined by internationally renowned jazz pianist Ivo Neame, bassist Ferg Ireland, and Cuba-born, Grammy nominated drummer Ernesto Simpson.
