He has won international acclaim for his performances on the recital platform and on the opera stage.
In this welcome return to Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall, he performs a Transatlantic programme of songs by Britten, Tippett, Charles Tomlinson Griffes and Margaret Bonds, one of the first Black composers and performers to gain recognition in the United States.
Benjamin Britten – Winter Words
Charles Tomlinson Griffes – Three Poems of Fiona Macleod
Michael Tippett – Songs for Ariel
Margaret Bonds – Songs of the Season
