Works begin on Monday 4 November in the Purple Zone car park, off Cloberry Street.

Once complete, this major new teaching building will be shared by Leeds University Business School (LUBS), the School of Law, the School of Languages and Central Teaching Space.

The 18-month project – scheduled to run until 4 May 2021 – will also encompass major changes to the adjacent highways, to rationalise traffic flows and improve the local environment for pedestrians and cyclists.

Vehicle and pedestrian access routes have already been restricted to Lyddon Terrace, Clarendon Place, Cromer Steet and Cloberry Street.

The contractor will commence roadworks between Monday 4 November and Friday 15 November to provide alternative drop-off parking provision to serve Bright Beginnings Nursery visitors, using Back Westbourne Terrace during the course of the construction period. During this set-up period, Back Westbourne Terrace will be available for use, with the contractor working in isolated areas.

The alternative drop-off provision is likely to be completed and ready for use from Monday 18 November 2019.

Please see the Campus Developments website for full details of diversion routes.

There will also be some noise disruption expected throughout the construction phase.
