Learning Outcomes

The aim of this final stage of the tutorial is to introduce you to the kinds of questions that researchers have asked about depictions of electricity during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Through this stage of the tutorial you will develop a sophisticated understanding of the following subjects:

However, unlike the first and second stages, this level of the tutorial has no definite end point. Rather than guiding you towards a particular set of answers, this stage of the tutorial provides you with a set of resources that will help you develop your own questions about the subjects it deals with. Whilst these skills should help you with projects such as a BA or MA dissertation they should also help you in other ways. For instance, by learning how to research the history of the domestication of electricity, you may be able to produce a proposal for PhD research based on the questions that you develop here.

As you work through the tutorial, you may want to keep a record of your answers with a notepad and paper.
