Meals and Dietary Requirements

All accommodation booked through the IMC includes breakfast, which is served:

  • In the Refectory for on-campus residents.
  • In the Devonshire Hall Dining Room for Devonshire Hall residents.
  • At the hotel restaurant in all IMC hotels.

Lunch and Dinner

A range of meal options are available throughout the day. Several outlets on campus are available for hot and cold food on a cash basis; IMC delegates can also purchase meal tickets for fresh hot meals served daily in the Refectory.

Meal Tickets

IMC delegates can purchase meal tickets for lunch and dinner through the Online Store during registration, or at the IMC itself from the Refectory Foyer.

We cannot guarantee any meals that are not booked in advance, and it is not possible to sell or exchange unwanted tickets when you arrive.

Tickets can be purchased for hot lunches and dinners that are served in the Refectory, or you can buy a ticket for a packed lunch which will be available to collect from the Marquee.

Special Dietary Requirements

Delegates with any special dietary requirements should give as much detail as possible when registering. The IMC administration and University catering team will endeavour to ensure that dietary requirements are met, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this will always be possible.

You will need to book your meals in advance and should inform the IMC administration of your requirements by 13 May 2018. The IMC administration cannot guarantee support for special dietary requirements unless informed of your requirements by this date.

Kosher meals require supplements purchased seperately to the registration. They are featured on the Online Store International Medieval Congress Supplementary Items. For full kosher provision, please purchase one supplement for every corresponding IMC meal booked through registration.

Other Options

A range of sandwiches, salads, snacks, and other items can also be bought on-site from the café bars around campus and the Leeds University Union shops.
