Teaching and sample timetable

Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

We will continue to review our courses for Term 4 (July - August 2021) in response to COVID-19, including the possibility of on-campus teaching. Depending on the situation, you may be offered an online alternative to this course instead, English for Life, which is taught remotely.

For all other updates and information, visit our coronavirus website.

You’ll be taught by our team of English language tutors who are academics at the University. The way we teach is informed by research into teaching languages, which means our teaching methods help you get the most out of your learning.

Start dates are throughout the year, so you can study when it suits you. Study full-time or part-time, for 3 to 40 weeks. See our course dates information.

Classes are scheduled during Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm for full-time students, and between 9am and 1pm for part-time students. Teaching takes place on the University of Leeds campus. A typical class size is between 14 and 16 students per class.

Sample timetable

This is a sample timetable for the full-time course. If you will be studying part-time, you'll only study in the mornings. This is for guidance only. You'll receive your timetable during the first week of your course.
