Our six- and 10-week summer 2020 pre-sessional courses will be taught online in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. You'll be able to study your pre-sessional course from home and you won't be expected to study live online sessions at night.
Our General English courses will not be running in summer 2020 and Term 1 2020/21. We are accepting applications for General English courses from January 2021. If you have applied for a General English course, please read the information on our General English page.

Our teaching is on campus and includes our learning resource centre the Language Zone. You can apply to stay in University accommodation, get involved with campus life and meet other students.
Start dates are throughout the year and you can study for up to 40 weeks.
The University of Leeds has been teaching academic English to international students for almost 50 years. The Language Centre is part of the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies and our teaching staff contribute to academic research in language teaching. This research informs our course content, which means youll receive high quality teaching designed to help you get the most out of your studies.
