Major rail deal for University spin out

University of Leeds spin-out company Tracsis, has signed a three-year deal for a major rail company to use its software.

The company, which specialises in developing software for the transportation industry, announced that the operator will use its TrainTRACS and TRACSRoster software to automate and speed up train crew scheduling. Tracsis said the deal reflects growing use of its TRACS software suite.

Chief executive John McArthur said: "We are delighted to have signed this agreement which not only secures revenue for the next three years but validates our continued efforts to bring resource optimisation systems and technologies to our target passenger rail market."
