Pauline Walsh

We are very sorry to have to let colleagues know of the death, on 10 November, of Mrs Pauline Walsh, Cleaning Supervisor in the Dental Institute. Mrs Walsh joined Estates (Cleaning Services) in July 1979 and began her long association with Dentistry just a few weeks later. Promoted to Supervisor in 1985, she took a great deal of pride in her work and led by example, carrying out her responsibilities cheerfully and willingly, in order to ensure that patients, staff and students alike were always greeted by a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment. She was undaunted by obstacles and would not allow these to compromise her devotion to securing high standards at all times. Mrs Walsh was a popular and well-regarded colleague whose loss will be keenly felt by everyone who knew her here. Mrs Walsh is survived by her husband, Michael, daughters Anne, Karen and Alison, and son, Stuart.
