Neil Emmerson

Collegues will be sorry to learn of the death of Mr Neil Emmerson on 2 February 2010, former Operations Manager in the Leeds University Business School.

After a very successful career in strategic sales and management with multinational organisations, including Microsoft and IBM, Mr Emmerson received an MBA from LUBS in 1998, obtaining not only a distinction but the prize for the best MBA of that year. Following graduation, he joined the Faculty, initially as a Project Placement Manager (with responsibility for industrial liaison and commercial contacts for postgraduate students), with successive promotions leading to his appointment as Operations Manager in 2006. Sadly, increasing ill health led to his early retirement from the University in 2008.
