Joanna Gabiga

We are very sorry to let colleagues know that Mrs Joanna Gabiga, former member of Estate Services, died on 4 December 2009.

Joanna, who was a Civil Engineering graduate of the University, was appointed in 1981. As a Technical Officer Architectural, she was part of the Project Management and Design Services Team and was responsible over the years for a number of capital and maintenance projects from inception to completion. This included the preparation of drawings, specifications and contract documents; supervising work as it proceeded on site; and bringing projects to completion on time and within budget. Sadly, ill-health increasingly took its toll of Joanna, eventually leading, in 2005, to her retirement.
