Colleagues will be very sorry to learn of the unexpected death, on 31 March 2019, of Alison Watt, Personal Assistant in the NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre in the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
The following notice has been contributed by her colleagues.
Alison joined the University in April 2008, having previously worked as an Executive Personal Assistant to directors in a range of organisations including the Royal Festival Hall, the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and Citibank. Based at the Coordinating Centre’s London offices, Alison supported a number of national directors in a variety of roles and was hugely respected and well-liked for her calm, friendly and efficient style. Originally from the north-east, Alison was an avid music fan and reader, and a highly intelligent and astute political commentator. She formed close relationships with colleagues in the London office and will be sorely missed.
