All staff users see the changes you make to smart views.
To manage and create smart views, go to Manage and then select Smart Views.
On this page you'll see existing smart views, many are created by default. You can edit existing smart views using the action link, and mark them as a favourite which will add them to the list on the Control Panel under Grade Centre.
On this page, select Create Smart View to make a new smart view:
The create smart view page will open.
Enter a name and description. You can also select whether it is a favourite here. There are various types of smart views you can create (listed below). For all options (apart from custom) the default will be to include all the Grade Centre columns in the smart view. You can change this using Filter Results. If you decide to filter by categories, make sure all your columns are categorised correctly or it won't work!
This can only be used if you have already created groups in your module. Select as relevant. If you don't wish to create groups you can use the User option (below) instead.
You can use this option to find which students scored a particular mark in a particular assignment, or (by selecting Status Equals under Condition) filter by status e.g. not attempted, in progress etc. If you want to know who scored above a certain mark in multiple assignments, use the custom option.
Select which users to include (hold Ctrl key down to select multiple users.)
Ensure you have read the section on categories if using this. For this view you can select which category to include, which users and which status (e.g. not attempted, in progress).
The custom option allows you to create a view based on multiple rules. You can add further rules with the Add User Criteria button.
