Module Links

There are two types of links which can be added to a module or organisation, these are External and Module/Organisation links. 

This guide explains how to add an Module/Organisation link, see the guide for further information and instructions on how to add an External Link link.

Module/Organisation links is a link to another item or folder within your module.

Step 1

Add an Module/Organisation Link

  • Navigate to the area in Minerva where you want students to view the link
  • Ensure that Edit Mode is switched ON from the top right of the screen, if it isn’t already
  • Select the Add Content action link and click Module/Organisation Link

Step 2

Link Information

Choose item – Click Browse. A new window will open displaying the Module Map. Navigate to the area in your module that you want to link to and select it. The window will now close.

  • Name - Give the link a meaningful name (this is required)
  • Location - This will be automatically filled with the item you choose as a link
  • Description – You can enter any optional descriptive text

Attachments

This section is probably not relevant if you just want to add a link. However, if you wish you can also attach a local file. See the Add Content guide for more information.

Step 3

Options

  • Permit Users to View this Content - You can make the content available immediately, or select No if you wish to work on the item and release it at a later date
  • Track number of views - This records who and when the item was accessed
  • Select date and time restrictions - You can display the item after and until a specific time and date*

*Tip

If you have added any date and time restrictions or the made the link unavailable it can be viewed by switching Edit Mode ON from the top right of the screen.

Click Submit to add the link.
