Collaborate Ultra sessions can be accessed via the web browser on iOS (Safari only), Android (Chrome only) and Microsoft Surface devices. You can also choose to install the Blackboard Instructor app.
You cannot log on to the Blackboard Instructor app; it does not work with Minerva. The app will launch the Collaborate Ultra session automatically when you follow the instructions below.

How to access a session
Prior to accessing a session you should have previously created a link to the Collaborate Ultra tool page advising students how to access the session.
Using the web browser, login to Minerva on your mobile device and access the relevant module/organisation.
Expand the module menu using the icon to the left of the screen.
Navigate to the appropriate content area e.g. Collaborate and select the Collaborate Ultra tool link.
Locate the appropriate session, it will most likely be the course room or a scheduled session that will appear below ‘All Upcoming Sessions’. If you can’t locate the session you may need to adjust the filter.
Click Get Secure Link and then Join Course Room to access the course room, or if you are accessing a scheduled session select its name.
For an iOS/Android device, you will see the option to join via the Blackboard Instructor App (you will be prompted to install it if you have not already). You will also see the option to Join from a browser, which we would recommend. Note that joining via iOS requires you to use Safari and Android requires you to use Chrome. On a Microsoft Surface device, you will be prompted to join via the browser only.
After clicking Join from a browser, a new window will open to launch the session. You will be prompted to allow access to your microphone and camera. Click Allow.
