Your accommodation will be more than just the place where you study and sleep - it will be your own space to call home.
Whether you want to live on your own or with other students, be based on or off campus, be catered or self-catered, our residences offer different options to suit your preferences and budget.
If you applied for university accommodation before the 1 July 2021 deadline, you should receive your offer of accommodation before the 9 September. Visit our deadlines and applying page for more information.
Late applicants and clearing students
If you have yet to apply, contact our Accommodation Services. You won't be covered by our guarantee, but we'll do our best to find you a place in University residences or help you to find alternative accommodation.
If you are coming to Leeds through clearing, you can apply for accommodation two days after you have accepted your offer through UCAS.

If a disability, medical condition or other factor affects your accommodation requirements, tell us about your needs so we can try to meet them. We have adapted accommodation in a number of our residences, including for physical, hearing and visual impairment.
If you’re moving into private accommodation, then both Unipol and Leeds University Union can give you advice and help with your house search.
Unipol works closely with the University to help students find suitable accommodation. Unipol own and manage their own properties, as well as advertising for other owners in Leeds. You can find available properties, advice and support on the Unipol website.

There are plenty of things to consider when choosing your private accommodation, including:
- Seeing your accommodation in person before you sign a contract
- If you are unable to view accommodation in person, consider temporary arrangements to begin with
- Checking your contract
- Doing an inventory
- Understanding what council tax you will need to pay
- Arranging a date for key collection
- Contacting your landlord
