UNTF2024 stands as one of the oldest nuclear engineering meetings globally, offering a platform for early-career researchers to showcase projects as well as expand nuclear networks.
With a mix of research talks, poster presentations and networking activities, the forum is an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest research across seven diverse themes:
- Waste management and disposal
- Decommissioning and remediation
- Reactors (fission and fusion)
- Recycle and fuels
- Materials
- Robotics
- Radiochemistry
You will also hear from two keynote speakers who will showcase how research benefits the nuclear sector, and how to successfully transition from academia to industry while continuing to deliver impact. Our keynote speakers are:
- Dr Paul Nevitt, National Nuclear Laboratory: UK nuclear, what does the future hold?
- Dr Matthew Jackson, Sellafield Ltd: Translating from PhD to industry
