The following term and semester dates relate to the general teaching and examination periods at the University. Dates may differ for some programmes of study, especially postgraduate and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences programmes.

Terms

  • Autumn term: Monday 30 September to Friday 13 December 2024
  • Spring term: Monday 13 January to Friday 28 March 2025
  • Summer term: Monday 28 April to Friday 20 June 2025

Semesters

  • Autumn semester: Teaching begins: Monday 30 September 2024. Teaching ends: Friday 13 December 2024
  • Spring semester: Teaching begins: Monday 27 January 2025 (start dates may vary by School). Teaching ends: Friday 9 May 2025

Introduction week

  • Monday 23 September to Sunday 29 September 2024

International students' orientation week

  • Monday 16 September to Sunday 22 September 2024

Examinations

  • Autumn semester: Monday 13 January to Friday 24 January 2025
  • Spring semester: Monday 19 May to Friday 6 June 2025

Dates when the University will be closed

  • 21 December 2024 to 1 January 2025
  • 17 to 22 April 2025
  • 5 May 2025
  • 26 to 27 May 2025
