Commonwealth Masters Scholarships 2027
One-year fully funded scholarship for full-time Masters study in 2027/28.

Who is eligible: Applicants from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries under one of the six CSC development themes.

How to apply
You must apply well in advance through the Commonwealth Scholarship Agency in your home country, using the CSC’s online application system – CSC Central.
The call for applications will open on 8 September 2026. As well as applying to the CSC, applicants must also apply to a nominator, which may have their own eligibility criteria and closing dates.
How the scholarships are awarded
Nominating agencies will nominate scholarship candidates to the CSC by December 2026. Applicants can expect to hear the outcome by July 2027.

Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), these scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.
The award is offered to scholars pursuing study in one of six development themes:

- Improving population health, health systems and capacity
- Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship
- Strengthening peace, security and governance
- Strengthening resilience and response to crises
- Access, inclusion and opportunity
