Eligibility
For applicants who are nationals of Malawi, Zambia or Zimbabwe, who hold permanent residence there and/or intend to return to their country after their studies and who have applied to full-time Taught Masters courses.
Preference is given to applicants with a Distinction or Merit (Upper Second Class) in their undergraduate degree.

Applicants must apply for a Masters course at the University of Leeds before completing the Beit Trust Scholarship application form.

How the scholarships are awarded
The Beit Trust provides a shortlist of applicants they wish to recommend for an award, with the final list of awards agreed by the University of Leeds.

Up to three scholarships are available for Session 2027–28 for applicants domiciled in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe to undertake a one-year taught Masters programme which meets the aims of the scheme to provide long-term benefit for their own country, with the exception of the Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Applicants should normally hold a degree of equivalent standard to at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree. Relevant work experience after completion of a first degree is strongly recommended and will count towards the award of a scholarship.
Applications from those who have already begun a course will not be considered.
