My role

I am a data and evaluation specialist in the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) at the University of Leeds, focusing on improving student outcomes and advancing social mobility.

A key area of interest for me is how we define and measure ‘value added’ in higher education, particularly in relation to underrepresented and mature students — how this can be captured through both quantitative indicators and lived experience.

My work spans the full student lifecycle, from outreach and access through to graduate outcomes. I combine statistical modelling, monitoring and evaluation frameworks — together with qualitative insight — to understand what works, for whom and why.

I have expertise in designing and embedding Theory of Change approaches, enabling teams to move from activity-driven delivery to evidence-informed practice. My work supports senior leaders and programme teams at the LLC to interpret complex data, assess impact and make informed strategic decisions.

I am also a co-convener of the University’s Data Analytics Network, supporting knowledge sharing and capability building across the institution.

I am particularly interested in enhancing collaboration across policy, practice and analytics communities.
