World Changers: Vice-Chancellor's essay collection

Two members of the AMR@Leeds group have been selected to spotlight their research in the Vice-Chancellor’s early career essay collection 2021.

Dr Laura Carter (School of Geography) and Dr Jessica Mitchell (Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development) share a focus on AMR but from very different perspectives.

Laura considers AMR’s role and impact within wider chemical pollution challenges. Whilst Jess draws on the parallels between the climate crisis and AMR in terms of creating behaviour change for a sustainable future.

Their essays can be accessed via the following links either as webpages or audio files:

The authors were featured in a Researcher Spotlight article where they described the process of creating their essays and the impact they hope their work will have. Both will be creating podcasts later this year to discuss their research in more detail with the Vice-Chancellor.

These essays are examples of the interdisciplinary AMR research happening at Leeds.
