Franco-British Society Literary Prize awarded to David Looseley

Congratulations to Emeritus Professor David Looseley who has been awarded a prize for his book Edith Piaf: A Cultural History.

David shares the prize with Eddie Hughes from Queen Mary, for his monograph on Albert Camus. Previous winners of the award include Sebastian Faulks and Antonia Fraser (more info can be found here).

David will be receiving his prize on Monday 25 April from the French ambassador, Mme Sylvie Bermann, at the ambassador's residence in Kensington Palace Gardens. Prizewinners are also invited to give a talk to the Franco-British Society at a later date, usually at the Institut Francais in London.
