Dr Silvia Taccola joined the Future Manufacturing Processes Research Group in the School of Mechanical Engineering as Research Fellow in December 2019. Silvia has a strong interdisciplinary background, working at the interface between biomedical engineering, material science, manufacturing, and soft robotics. Her research focuses on design, formulation, and refinement of new manufacturing process apparatus for advanced fabrication and their applications spanning biomedicine and healthcare.
