Helping recruit the next generation of health professionals

The University of Leeds, with support from Leeds Academic Health, have developed a VR tool to help school pupils experience the real-life challenges of being a healthcare professional and encourage them to take a career in healthcare.

The innovative tool, awarded Office for Students (OfS) funding, is used to engage pupils in educational workshops and simulated VR based clinical scenarios and aims to identify students with the desired qualities for healthcare roles including nursing, midwifery, orthoptics and podiatry.
