Job title
Academic Design Consultant, Learning Design Agency

About me

I’m passionate about making transformative learning experiences available to all students, regardless of their background.

My academic development practice builds on extensive experience gained in major UK and Irish universities across roles in research and teaching with integrated and wide-ranging student academic-pastoral responsibilities – from admissions tutor, personal tutor and year abroad and placements tutor to dissertation supervisor.

I’ve held academic roles across the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum in International Strategic and Human Resource Management and French Studies while developing and managing a portfolio of pedagogic and research projects. I’ve therefore gained invaluable lived experience of navigating the multiple priorities which define academic careers.

This lived experience is foundational to the values-led and solutions-focused partnerships with academics, students and professional service teams which I aspire to build in the context of my work for the Learning Design Agency, the Faculties and the broader University.

I’ve developed and I’m leading on two new projects: Build your Scholarship Practice – the new University wide Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) development programme, and Engaging Curriculum Redefined through the Arts and Humanities – a bespoke project developed for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures.
