My volunteering activity
I volunteered at a pre-departure briefing event in Jakarta, where I participated as a speaker. I shared my experiences and insights from my time studying in Leeds with prospective students with the goal of helping new students to prepare academically, socially, and culturally before starting their journey.
The most rewarding part was being able to inspire new students to embrace every opportunity and enjoy their time at Leeds to the fullest.
Why I became a Leeds volunteer
Volunteering is my way of giving back to the community that supported and shaped me. The University community feels like a family to me and I see it as my second home.
My advice to anyone thinking about volunteering at Leeds
Volunteering at Leeds is a life-changing opportunity. It’s a chance to reconnect with a community that feels like family while giving back in a meaningful way.
You’ll not only inspire and support future students but you’ll also grow through the experience. You’ll walk away feeling proud that you’ve made a real difference in someone else’s journey.
