My volunteering activity
I volunteered as a guest speaker in Media Futures, a series of talks and practical workshops for School of Media and Communication students. I shared insights about international careers in the media industry. I focused on giving practical advice for aspiring media professionals and spoke about how to make the most out of your time at Leeds.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is always inspiring to engage with Leeds students and see the exceptional calibre of talent emerging from the University.
Why I became a Leeds volunteer
I chose to volunteer because I still feel deeply connected to Leeds and I am grateful for everything I learned there. My time at Leeds gave me countless opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, and this was a way to give back to the community that helped shape who I am today.
My advice to anyone thinking about volunteering at Leeds
I would strongly encourage you to do it. Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back, share knowledge, and help guide the next generation.
