My role

I am a Teaching Fellow on the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) programme at the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC), where I teach across Management and Leadership subjects. My teaching focuses on helping apprentices integrate academic theory with their professional experience and I work closely with learners and employers through tripartite reviews and supervision of work based projects. I am committed to inclusive, practice centred pedagogy that supports adult learners and widens participation in higher education.

I bring extensive experience from UK and international higher education, having taught and led programmes across a range of business and management disciplines. Prior to joining the LLC I held academic and leadership roles involving curriculum development, quality assurance and the coordination of business and management pathways.

I hold a PhD in Management, an MSc in Public Service Policy and Management and a BSc in Accountancy. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and hold both a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and a Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice. I have also contributed to the wider sector through external examining.

My pedagogical research spans active learning, authentic assessment and recently the responsible use of AI. My business research focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) materiality and ethical decision making. I also study how human, social and political capital shapes entrepreneurial performance in emerging markets.
