My role
I work primarily on the Welcome Desk at the Lifelong Learning Centre, greeting visitors, answering queries and helping with the consistent improvement of our services. My role also involves assisting with our events for both current and prospective students.
I started working (part-time) at the University as a Peer Support Assistant within the Careers Service during my first year as a student here. I also completed a placement year within the Careers Service before graduating with a BA in Liberal Arts.
I am a passionate advocate for sustainability, women’s rights and for the LGBTQ+ community, and I love contributing to the Centre’s work to uplift all of our students. I spearheaded a project which secured free, plastic-free period products for the female and gender-neutral toilets in the Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building on the University campus where the Centre is based.
I love working in a front-facing role and getting to meet all of the brilliant students, current and prospective, who come into the Centre every day!
