Crucible programme

The Crucible programme brings together researchers who are open to collaborating across disciplines, and helps introduce new ways of thinking and working with the ultimate goal of creating long-term collaborations.

The programme will help you develop competencies required to initiate and develop interdisciplinary working, knowledge exchange, entrepreneurial activity and creative thinking.

The Horizons Institute Crucible programme is now recruiting researchers for 2023/24 cohort, and invites early- to mid-career researchers (3–10 years post-PhD) to take part in this unique collaborative programme.

Three two-day residentials will offer facilitated sessions, speakers and time to collaborate. We will support colleagues with caring responsibilities to attend where possible.

How to apply

To apply, please email the Horizons Institute team at horizons@leeds.ac.uk for an application form. The selection will be made by a panel based on clearly expressed motivations and enthusiasm for engagement with the Crucible programme.
