Even though I already had an unconditional offer from the International Foundation Year, I was anxious about my English academic skills and I wanted to get used to university life as early as I can, so I chose to study the pre-sessional course for 10 weeks.

The academic skills I practiced during the pre-sessional course support me a lot in my study now. For instance, the skills of writing an essay, writing references, and taking notes in lectures all apply to my daily studies. Furthermore, getting into the habit of independent study helped me to improve my grades in my current learning.

The tutors are incredibly supportive to assist your improvement. The experience also provided opportunities to get to know the city of Leeds, hence, I was able to concentrate on studying when the academic year started. Moreover, the course made me become more confident about my academic skills than before, so I feel comfortable with learning.

Whether you have a conditional offer or an unconditional offer, the pre-sessional course allows you to get used to your brand-new life in the UK and enhance your academic English skills.
