I decided to come to Leeds because I wanted to study abroad one last time before my graduation this fall. I always wanted to go to England and study there, but I didn’t have enough time to do a whole semester abroad. So when I found out about LISS, I knew that Leeds was the place for me this summer. I must say it was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life.

My modules during LISS were Business and Cultural Awareness and Entrepreneurship and Society. The first module was very beneficial because you got to learn more about everybody’s cultures. In addition you learned how cultural differences could be beneficial or detrimental to running a business.

During my second module we actually got to come up with our own business idea. It was a very challenging module with interesting field trips, where we got to meet different people who started their own businesses from scratch.

During my time at LISS I also got to go on weekend excursions. I especially loved going to York and Whitby, both very charming towns full of history. I also went on my own excursion, which was to the city of Liverpool, home of the Beatles and one of the best English football teams. In addition, a lot of social activities were organised for us on campus and in the city.

Last but not least we also went to London, which I consider to be one of the greatest cities in the world.

Taking part in LISS is more than just academics, it is life changing. You will have so much fun that it gets really hard to pick which moment was the best.
